And I'm off!

That's right, ladies! I'm off for the next two weeks! I'll miss you all so much! This weekend I'm off to visit boyfriend for a few days and then I'm on my way to CT with Mel for an extended weekend(and other events) with her extended family! 12 hour car ride here we come! We're already planning the fattening food we will be indulging on! Smart pop, snickers, cheetos, puppy chow. Yeah. Let's just say I'm gonna need to work out hard core when I get back!

Anyway, I'm SUPER excited about going to see boyfriend! Yes, normal, I know, but this trip is extra special! It's the last time I will see boyfriend for a while. Although we go to school together and we're close during the school year, our home towns are 2 hours apart from each other. So yes, we're used to "long distance". But we're also used to being able to drive a short 2 hours and see each other every other weekend. (Plus, as I mentioned in my last post boyfriend lives at the beach so it's a perfect getaway!) That's not why this is a special visit, though. Boyfriend got an internship in Texas this summer. Go ahead, feel sorry for me. Haha, just kidding! But if you're wondering... that's a 22 hour drive from NC! :( I am SO excited for him, though! This is an amazing opportunity and I know it will open so many doors for him! With that being said, I'm still super depressed about it. I've been trying to come up with ways to occupy my time and show him I love him while he's away. So far I've thought of working all the time, sending him a care package, skyping(I don't know what I would do without skype), and writing love letters. Now this is where you all come in. I could really use some advice on other things to do and how to not get mad at the little things because I miss him so much! I know some of you are expert long distance lovers so help a girl out!

My goofball
My surfer boy
My "gift from God"
I really appreciate all the support you guys give to me and to all the other bloggers out there. The blog world is such a great place :) I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and next two weeks!

Graduation and preschoolers

Last weekend my family headed down to Charlotte to see my brother get commissioned into the Air Force (he was ROTC Air Force while in school) and his graduation. I'm so proud of him! He is now a 2nd Lt in the Air Force and graduated with the hardest major in his group (civil engineering)! Unfortunately, he's stationed in New Mexico for the next four years. That's forever away from NC! It'll be pretty sad but at least he's at home until he leaves! Last night, being the amazing little sister I am ;), I helped him unpack and organize a lot of his stuff. Pretty sure he was using me just to help but i'll take any time I have left to spend with him! Anyway, here are a few pics from the weekend!

Family after his graduation!

Way to go, bro! This week had been filled with cute little 3 year olds. My mom works at a preschool and I have been subbing this week. I just love these kids. They definitely make waking up early worth it! I am exhausted though! But- good news! I'm off to visit boyfriend this weekend! He lives at the beach so it will be a perfect get away! It's been 2 and 1/2 weeks since we last saw each other and I miss him so much!

Happy Thursday!

RIP Sush

My fish die the other day :( The worst part is that I think I killed him! I brought him back from school  and I put water in his bowl then the water purifying drops and then put him in right after. I think I should have waited to put him in? I don't know! There were no directions! But, he is dead. I called boyfriend (we have "joint custody" of the fish) and he said we could get another one and this time name him Sus. Freshman year we got a free gold fish and named him Sushi, he died the next day so we got Sush, a betta fish. So we'll just keep taking off letters until we're left with S. hahah! Here's to you Sush...

Our first gold fish, Sushi
Sush when we bought him.. i mean brought him home ;)
Loving his new home
I love you too, Sush!
P.s.- this sign was made by Mel, I'm not weird, promise!
And as you're laughing at me, I'm calling myself crazy because these pictures were easy to find. Crazy fish lady? Nah! I'm just being a jokester! But I did love my fish! He even hid behind his rock to die. How sweet of him!

In other news, check me out over at Perfect Peace! Mel, my amazing roommate/best friend is off loving Jesus so I did a little guest post for her! Go check it out and show her some love while you're at it! P.s.- tomorrow is her birthday! So be sure to head over there tomorrow too and wish her a happy birthday!

It's officially summer!

I'll spare you all from having to hear how bad of a blogger I have been... again. Fortunately I have good news! IT'S SUMMER! What whattttt! I moved everything out of my apartment today and back home. I've been unpacking ever since. Mel makes fun of me but I like to unpack right when I get back. I just know if I don't do it right then it will never get done! I have mixed feelings about moving out...

I'm happy because:
-I don't have to share a bathroom
-I don't have to hear the people upstairs pee, yell, laugh, jump..i mean walk..., and watch TV
-I don't have to hear my roommates obnoxiously loud TV
-I don't have to live with Mel. JUST KIDDING. I'm sad about this one :( But only three months and we'll be in our new home with Linsey! Wooooh!
-I don't have to fight for a parking spot in front of my dorm. Parking on my campus is a nightmare.

But i'm sad because:
-We had so much fun this year
-I love living with my roommates
-For the next three months I can't walk into Mel or Linseys room and hang out or talk
-I can't randomly turn on music and dance around with my roommates

But fear not. Only three months! I'm hoping this summer will go by kinda quick. Boyfriend will be in Texas and I am dreading it! (more on that to come!) Other than that I'll be working my butt off and finding time to hang out with friends in between!

What's your summer excitement?

Say hello to my little friend

Now image me saying that in the scar face voice. Hahah, sometimes I get a little silly. As Mel likes to say "I think you're funny all the time, but sometimes you're reallllly funny." Yeah, this probably wasn't one of those times. Anyway! I don't have much to write about today and these little guys have been infesting the campus. They're hanging from every tree. Each time I walk to campus I always have to check to make sure there isn't one stuck to me! Mel and I were doing homework outside one day and they kept falling our way so I took some pictures! Sorry I'm in the same pose! I was just trying to get him at the right time! Enjoy!

p.s.- It's kinda like playing Where's Waldo! Hope you can find him ;)

Love these little guys but they can be a pain!

Update + rainy day fort!

Hello my long lost blogger friends! I feel like I have been absent for so long! I can proudly say I am up to date on all of your blogs! I love reading all about what you guys have to say! A little update from my side of the woods.

- The last day of classes is tomorrow and I go home for good May 10th!
- Linsey comes back to the USA May 14! I can't wait for her to be back!
- Boyfriend got an internship in Texas for the summer! I'm so proud of him for achieving this goal but I'm gonna miss him so much!
- I will be holding down two jobs this summer and I'm excited! I like being busy and it will definitely help when I'm missing boyfriend

Anything exciting happening for you this summer?

I've had the post written for a week or so but just go the pictures from Mel's computer so I figured I would leave you guys with a cute post about the fun boyfriend and I had on our rainy day!

the title says it all! Boyfriend and I spent our rainy Saturday making a fort and chilling inside of it! It was such a relaxing, great way to spend my Saturday. Unfortunately, it only rained for an hour in the morning and then the sun came out. No worries! We pretended it was still raining.

Halfway through the day we got a little bit of scary news. My home town got hit pretty bad with multiple tornadoes Saturday afternoon. I got a text from an old friend asking if my parents were okay. Woah, what? I called and it turns out thank God, they were but other people were not as lucky. My friends neighborhood got hit pretty bad but luckily she and her house were safe. Unfortunately, a friend from elementary school was not as lucky. Her house got hit a long with a lot of other houses. Please keep those affected by the tornadoes in your prayers!

In the past week there have been so many deadly tornadoes, especially in Alabama. Please keep these areas in your prayers!

After saying a few prayers and making sure everyone was okay, we continued our day in the fort. Here are a few pics! Sorry they're not the best.. I tried!

the before picture and boyfriend sleeping with the fort!

the "in the making" and the "done"

Hi from boyfriend and I!

did a little homework, watched movies, and made cheese fries!
Happy Monday!
