Only at my school

...will you see a game of Humans vs. Zombies. How did I find out about this? I was walking on campus and saw some people with green bands on their arms. Uh what's that? I asked my boyfriend. He nonchalantly told me it was for the Humans Vs. Zombies game. A little confused why he knew about it. haha He went on to explain that the humans wear their band on one arm and the zombies wear it on the other. He had heard about it from some of his friends and saw an "attack" the other day. Okay..  So I did a little research:

Humans vs. Zombies (HvZ) is a game of moderated tag commonly played on college campuses. A group of human players attempts to survive a “zombie outbreak” by outsmarting a growing group of zombie players. They must defend themselves with socks and Nerf guns to avoid being tagged by the Zombies

Sound a little crazy? It does to me. But hey, I'm not one to stop them from having fun! Meanwhile, I was entertained by watching groups of people running around with Nerf guns.
Would you ever play a game of Humans vs. Zombies? Anything like this ever happen on your campus?

10 questions!

Jenna at Leggings Love tagged me a looooong time ago and since I've been such a terrible blogger lately I'm just getting around to it now!

1. What is your dream job?
Easy peasy. To be a teacher! I've wanted to be a teacher ever since I was in the first grade. My first grade teacher was such an amazing teacher and person that she was my sole inspiration. She was always so happy and encouraging and really made learning fun. I can only dream to be as amazing as her when I'm in my classroom.

After I teach for a while I might go back for my masters in administration, Special Education with a concentration in Autism, or to be a reading specialist. Every has always told me that I would be a great administrator because I'm organized, personable, and strict and sweet when necessary. I have always loved Special Ed (hence my double major) but I especially LOVE Autism. The spectrum and unique-ness of it all amazes me and I would love to learn more about it.  I also have a huge passion for reading because ever since I can remember I have loved to read and I want to show children the joy that reading can bring. We shall see where I end up!

I also want to be a stay at home mom until my kids go to school!

2. What is your favorite drink?
Rootbeer. but carbonation makes my tummy hurt so I'm always just drinking water!

3. What is your most important beauty secret?
SUN! Just the perfect amount can make my skin complexion look perfect! (Not really, but close enough!)

4. If you had an all-expense paid vacation to go anywhere, where would you go?
Oh geeze. Backpack through Europe. HA! I cheated :) I would love to stay in Italy. I'm 100% Italian but have NEVER been to Italy even though we have family there! Crazy!

5. If a genie popped up right now, what would your three wishes be?
Hm... To never feel sick again. With my allergies I'm pretty sensitive but my tummy is just sensitive in general! Pain.in.the.butt.

To never stress or have anxiety

For a healthy life for all my family, friends, and blog friends :)

6. If you could have one type of food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Cheese fries. Hands down. Amazing.

7. What is one talent you wished you had?
To sing. Although, I do love belting out in song anyway.. it would be pretty cool to have a good voice!

8. Who is your biggest celebrity crush?
Don't have one. I only have a crush on my man ;)

9. If you could look into the future, would you?
Eh.. probably not. I like to think about the future but I think knowing what would happen would drive me crazy. I need to keep living in the present!

10. What made you start your blog?
Both of my friends had blogs and I wanted to be able to comment! We first created a blog for the three of us and then I decided to just get my own. I'm not the best at it but I think it's cool!

Dear Body,

I think I need to apologize. I'm sorry for putting you through an hour of body pump on monday, an hour of power yoga on tuesday, and then going to the club on tuesday night. Can you forgive me? I've always wanted to go out on a school night. I just couldn't resist!

Yup, that's right. I'm a rebel. I went out on a school night. I wish I could say it was the most amazing experience I've had but we'll just say it was an experience. My anxiety was a little high last night and I kinda had a freak out but it's all good. I'd really love to go back and actually enjoy it! Check out how cute we are in Mel's post. I know, I know. I always rely on Mel for pics but my camera is no good and I really don't have the money for a new one. Sorry!

Despite being able to sleep in until 11 because my class got canceled I am drained. I need a major pick me up! These two 2 hour classes in a row are not flying for me! Good news! After tomorrow there are only two weeks and two days of school left! I am so over it all! I'm ready to get my summer on!

Uptown Charlotte!
Have you ever been out on a school night? You, rebels, you. Share your story... I would love to hear it!

ohhh sunnnn...where are you?!

First, I would like to apologize for going MIA so often! As the semester is winding down I'm trying to focus on school and hanging out/taking advantage of living on my own before I have to move home for the summer. Cut me a little slack until school ends? Thanks :)

This weekend boyfriend and I headed off to his home in Wilmington because the weather was going to be amazing. It was supposed to be in the 80s and sunny all weekend.
I was looking forward to this!
Wrong. The sky was cloudy and it was kinda chilly! We made the most of our day though and headed down to the street fair downtown. This weekend is Azalea festival. It's a huge month long fair where high school girls wear big froofy dresses and have garden parties and parade and stuff. Not my scene but the street fair was cool. I wish I had brought my camera but I wasn't thinking! Right as we were driving away the sun came out. Really, sun? We decided to head over to the Airlie gardens.
This is made out of glass bottles! So cool!
I never even knew this place existed! It was so pretty! I told Mel that she's going to have to come take pictures here this summer so hopefully we'll get some of those! We ended the night cuddled on the couch because the sky decided to storm.

We check the forecast and were looking forward to some sun again today. Wanna guess how the weather is? Nasty. Boyfriend can't complain though. He's off to catch some killer waves. He check the waves this morning and freaked out! He and his dad headed down so I hope he caught some good ones! I wish the weather was warmer/ I had brought a book so I could have gone and watched but I didn't so I'm wrapped up on the couch blogging! Overall, we had a great weekend together with his family and the two of us. I love his family so I'm really glad we got to come hang out here. We're off to school in a few hours :(

I have a challenge for you guys! Boyfriend was sitting with me while I was reading blog and saw some of the neat things people call their significant others as "code names" on their blogs. He asked what he was called. Uh? Boyfriend? Well... this is too boring for him. So he asked for a new name. Here's the challenge: I need a new name to call boyfriend in my blog! Are you up to it?
My goofball!
Here are some things about him:
He's a surfer
He loves cars and working on them
He's very much into technology and is good at everything and anything related to it
He loves me :)
He's kinda a little kid
He's the sweetest boy I've ever met

Happy Sunday! I'm ready to hear your ideas!

Makes you think

So I'm sitting in class Stumbling on StumbleUpon like always.  Background: This is my health education class in which my teacher is a total meat head and doesn't even like kids. He told us we don't have to take notes and our quizzes are take home open note. Should I pay attention? No. I already took Biology. Anyway back to what is important. I stumbled up on this

Amazing, right. If you can't read it I suggest you click to enlarge it. It's pretty powerful. I really don't know what to say except I am, we are, blessed. It's so easy to take life for granted. Never forget how truly lucky you are.

Do something different this week. Go out of your way to help someone. Smile at a stranger. Help someone with something. Small or big. Donate a little time or money. Make a difference. Share your blessed life.

I can see the light...

...at the end of the semester! It's so close! Well, not as close as I wish it were! 4.5 weeks left of actual work and then exams! The work load is somewhat starting to work its way down. Wooh! I have three group projects due next week. ughhh. I like working with people and being around them but I don't like group projects. I'm the type of person who likes to get things done a week before it's due to keep my stress level down. I like to get things done on my own time. I guess you could say I'm a control freak. Okay.. I am a control freak. But...that's not really how it works with group projects. Fortunately this semester I've had pretty good partners and it all seems to be working out in my favor! sweeeet! The story isn't the same for boyfriend. He's struggling in his classes and it sucks! He's a computer engineer major so his classes are ridiculous! He hasnt been doing so hot in Chem which he NEEDS to pass so tonight I'm starting a tutoring type thing with him. I'm going to set aside an hour or so of my time every night and I'm going to have him teach me Chemistry. It'll go straight over my head but hey, it's worth a shot.

While he's thinking about this..
ew.
I'll be thinking about this!

Yum :)

Wish us luck! (More luck to him!)
