To my six lovely followers,
I love you all! Haha! Anyway, if you always log on to blogger just waiting for my post I'll have to disappoint you for a while. I'm gonna be a little MIA for the week. My Nonno (grandfather in Italian) passed away a week before christmas and the funeral is this weekend. It's been a tough week revisiting my thoughts and sorrows from the week he passed away but I'm ready to be back with family and celebrate his life.
Disclaimer: Rambling ahead
It's been a little tough for me thinking about my Nonno's death because he wasn't a Christian. This doesn't mean that I think he's down in Hell. I can't really explain what I feel. I don't know how to pray to God for help and peace for someone who wasn't a believer. If I'm confusing you, I'm sorry... I'm confusing myself. I do not believe God is a bad man. I know that whatever he has in store for my Nonno has now come true but I guess I'm scared to think about what that is. My personal belief, I respect all other beliefs and hope that you respect mine too, is that there is no Hell. I don't believe that my God is cruel enough to condemn someone to such a thing. Then what happens to the people who don't ask for his forgiveness to get permitted into heaven? (worded in my own words) I don't know! Does everyone get in? Do they just lie in the earth, souls and all? I guess since I've been struggling with my own beliefs so much it's made it harder to come to peace with his death.
I know the unknown is part of faith but I just wish I could find some kind of answer or comfort.
If you stuck with me, you rock. If not, I still love you. Comments, advice, or questions are welcome just please don't bash my beliefs because I won't bash yours. I can't take anything else right now.

I wish I had some comforting words about your Nonno, but just like you, I have a hard time believing that such a good person would be sent to Hell. I do believe in Hell, but I don't understand why good people would go there. It's hard to think about and I understand why you're so upset. Just take comfort in the fact that your Nonno was a good man. He loved and was loved. He had a good life and will always be remembered. I love you, and I'm always here for you, Kristen!
Kristen I'm sorry you're having to go through this! I have lost 3 of my 4 grandparents so I can really understand that sadness you feel. You may be really confused right now, but pray for God to give you and your family peace, because regardless if your Nonno was saved or not, your God is still with you. He promises that he will give us peace if we seek Him. [like mel's thing, perfect peace]
I'm praying for you and your family!
